Unreliable and getting worse
a total of 18 items missing from today's order and when I checked out last night, they had everything in stock.

Evidently their systems are inadequate and things are getting worse... week after week, we receive poorly packaged items and often many glass bottles in a single carrier which is torn by the weight or items broken.

This is your last chance Ocado, sort your stuff out or we are off after many years of loyal custom.

Inconsiderate Delivery Driver
Did not have a delivery, but a neighbour did.

Ocado delivery van arrived just gone 10 pm and left the engine running for at least 20 minutes before they got out to do the delivery, when they did get out the driver still left the engine running.

Phoned Ocado who said that they have to do that.

Why can they not do the delivery when they arrive, instead of sitting in the van for ages, wasting energy and annoying the local residents?

Van finally left at 10.30 pm, but I will not be doing another order with them as their drivers are so inconsiderate, and customer services could not care less.

Ocado pride themselves on being environmentally friendly, but from the actions tonight they certainly showed they were not.

Good, reliable service
We've been using Ocado for years as our main grocery shopping service. The app is much better than the website and there are some nice features, like one click ordering. It's good to be able to buy a pass to get delivery for 'free' on certain days. Not sure if it's good value - you can always go to Aldi or Lidl - but you get access to M&S food now as well. The delivery drivers are always polite and helpful.

I am in live with Ocado
I am in live with Ocado. The real Italian products, the low carb product are my necessities. Even if the diabetics a 30 millions in UK, there is no other supermarket to have products for them.

The range is really beginning to lack
I do really like Ocado, but the partnership with M&S seems to have really brought them low. There are so many missing everyday items and frankly awful M&S products (their disgusting yoghurt coleslaw with mayonnaise, anyone)? They need to expand their range. I find I'm using them less and less.

This is the only grocery delivery…
This is the only grocery delivery company I ever shop with - all others are total crap in comparison like Sainsbury which cancelled half of my order (turned out items unavailable) for next day delivery. Never the case with Ocado, occasionally one item substituted that’s all.

5 stars not enough for my experience , absolutley superb !!
Not enough stars for my experience.
You can only speak as you find , not sure who said this however it works for me.

I signed up and took advantage of their opening offer of a £20 voucher.
I have had two deliveries now and both were superb , on time ,lovely drivers who whilst busy bother to be pleasant and return short chats.
The system is fantastic lots of e mails keeping you posted with reminders , even the return of bags works on the day and reduces the payment which is only taken when delivery is made.
This is a well thought out customer friendly system and actually works.I have now subscribed to free delivery during the week for £3 a month !!
I was a Sainsbury shopper for many many years, totally fed up with constant price rises and extra costs, what happened to Nectar points, now a waste of time, and for example the cost of Lurpac butter now £5 Sainsbury , at Ocado £4. One of the big pluses is that Ocado have a wide range of quality unusual products , I bought a French frozen croissant from Picard, superb from frozen bake , as good as I have eaten in France, lovely warm light flaky bakery, try finding this in Sainsbury !!
Anyway screw Sainsbury my £100+ a week is going to Ocado , delivered, great range and prices.
I wish I had shares, try them out you will also get a £20 voucher what is to loose.

Great shopping experience
Arrived on time. Driver Neil helpful and cheerful in spite of it being the one of hottest days in the UK ever- and Ocado had added a free sample of effervescent hydration vitamin and mineral tablets- what a thoughtful gesture

Horrible experience - edit: not so much
Horrible experience. I had booked the delivery slot way in advance and even got a message on the same day confirming the delivery time and driver's name. However, at the time of the delivery, I get a message saying they would not be able to deliver my groceries and that I would need to rebook. You make plans to be at home and at the end you are not respected as a client.

Edit: the driver has contacted me later and apologized for the incident. Apparently, he felt ill and was unable to complete the delivery, which is understandable. I was also given a £20 voucher as compensation. I only think that communication could have been better in the first place to avoid frustration. I also think the company should have backup plans to go around this type of incident.

Thinking of using Ocado…think again
I manage a weekly order for my parents and it seems each week it’s a bad experience.

Frankly the website experience is terrible and not for the first time my parents have ended up with a delivery of items that I did not request including alcohol which isn’t great for a recovering alcoholic.

I contacted customer services and they explained that the shopping basket is pre-populated with the items I didn’t want and I should have deleted them, but instead I created a new order of the items I did want, being delivered tomorrow.

None of this related to my actual shopping experience, when I logged on the basket was populated with only 2 items that I did want and I added to that order.

The conversation with customer services was frustrating. They insisted that I placed 2 orders, which I had not and couldn’t resolve the matter. So now I will move both my parents and my own household weekly shopping from Ocado to someone better. If you are thinking of using Ocado I would think again

I feel like delivery services are meant…
I feel like delivery services are meant to be an easy alternative to shopping in store, but Ocado just isn’t. Website is tricky to navigate, items are way more expensive than in-store, and we booked for a delivery tomorrow morning which 5 mins ago got cancelled because of a card authorisation issue (despite ample funds definitely being on the card). So we built an order, placed it, faffed around for pretty much no reason. I called and asked if they could re place the order and they said the slots had gone - which to me seems slightly unlikely seeing as the order was only cancelled less than 2 minutes before I called. Luckily we are able to pop to the shops easily but I dread to think if we were a family or elderly person relying on this order. Realistically it’s easier to take your money elsewhere rather than waste your time on Ocado - there are plenty of food delivery services with much better logistics and service, sorry!

Very good customer service
I have shopped with Ocado for many years and have only encountered a handful of problems which have been quickly resolved by Ocado. One example was shower gel had leaked in one of the shopping bags so a quick phone call to them and I was refund items leaked and damaged. I do miss not having Waitrose items so at times I have ordered Waitrose deliveries direct with them. Overall though the choice, variety of products and quality beats other online grocery delivery companies.

Squished and squashed!
I started shopping with Ocado 5 years ago. Everything was packed neatly in the carrier's. In the last six months at least two items are squashed/damaged every week. Shopping looks like it is haphazardly chucked in the bags- upside down or squished flat. Bakery items are unusable. I would rather have my shopping neatly packed and delivered rather than have to request a refund. It's annoying as it means I don't get the things I need

Food to arrive at party after the guests
Placed an order at least a week in advance for a lunch party with delivery between 10 and 11 a.m. At 8 a.m. on the day we received a call to say the order would be delayed by at least two hours followed by a text to say it would be 30 to 60 minutes late. Not ideal to receive the food after 1 p.m. when the guests were arriving at 12. I wont order from Ocado again
